Bundesliga – DFB penalty for Bochum mug: VFL comes from it

Bundesliga club VfL Bochum has escaped with a relatively mad punishment for the mug design scandal. The audience part exclusion was exposed to probation on Wednesday by the Sports Court of the German Football Association (DFB) on Wednesday. The probation period runs until June 30, 2023.

Only with similar incidents during this period the VFF would have to close the complete southstandue for a game. In addition, the club for this game should not charge a ticket surcharge. The association has already accepted the verdict.

Around the imposed finance of 100,000 euros, the VFL does not come around. Of these, however, 33,000 euros “for safety and violent prevention measures are used”. In addition, there are three more fines in a total height of 15,000 euros for beakers of Bochum fans in the points against Borussia Dortmund and Union Berlin as well as in the cup match against the SC Freiburg.

Also conditions have to fulfill the Bochum. This includes “a concept for introducing a high-resolution video surveillance system” and the introduction of a Pfandbug reusable system.

During the Bundesliga game between the VfL and Borussia Mönchengladbach on March 18, arbitrator assistant Christian Gittelmann (Gauersheim) had been hit by a beer mug on the head. The broken encounter was scored 2: 0 for Gladbach.
