Steam Deck already has an official launch date

After having delayed until the beginning of this year, Valve promised that the Steam Deck would suffer from any other delay again, and it seems that they could fulfill their fiancé. We say this because a few moments ago, the company led by Gabe Newell finally announced the exact release date for this new device.

Today

Via a publication on its official website, Valve revealed that it will be next February 25 when the Steam Deck will save you for the public, but it will be until 28 From that month when they start sending the first commercial units. Valve will contact those who made their pre-sale, and will have a period of 72 hours to finish with the payment process. Otherwise, they will be returned to the last place in the row and will have to repeat the whole process again.

Valve also shared additional information that could be useful:

  • Buying invitations will be sent shortly after 1pm (Time from Mexico City) on February 25.

  • Electronic emails to start the order are sent in the same order in which the reservations were made.

  • It is only possible to ask for the Steam Deck model reserved at the time.

  • The reservoir deposit applies to the final price of Steam Deck, and shipping costs are included.

Recall that currently the Steam Deck will only be available for purchase in the United States, Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom. At the moment we do not know when it will arrive in the rest of the world, Mexico included.

Editor’s note: Even if they sold it here in Mexico, Steam Deck is not really a device that calls me attention. Of course, I would like to enjoy my Steam library portable, but it is not like something that really needs me in my life.
